A unique rear-suspension cradle is rigidly mounted to the unibody to eliminate the weight and flex of rubber bushings, unique stiffening rods and shear plates underneath serve as extra bracing, and the car runs enough special software to land it on an asteroid. The m5 is an executive express, a velvet-wrapped hammer, a shark in whale's clothes. Bmw figures m5 owners are richer than m3 owners and that they want commensurate levels of luxury and gizmology.
